26 November 2021

It has been just over a month since the damaging storm hit our centre and we understand it seems to our community that we’re not closer to opening as we have come to understand the devastation of this storm and how it has truly impacted us.

The devastation was far reaching and works to even make safe the building is ongoing as the project team work diligently to accelerate this work.

The centre sustained major structural damage and all service systems like emergency, fire, air conditioning were also damaged. Our thoughts are with our individual traders who have not only sustained major store damage, loss of stock and ongoing trade but also staff missing hours and wages after a very challenging year.

Our majors Coles, Woolworths and Kmart, being on separate systems as well as not sustaining the level of structural damage as the balance of the centre, were able to work diligently in delivery of fully operational stores and we thank them for their efforts in continuing to serve our community in very challenging circumstances.

We have nearly 80 construction crew working towards having further stores open before Christmas and will continue to keep our community updated as more information comes to hand.  It is also our intention to open the main mall entries so there is better access for our customers as well as provide public amenities in time for Christmas.

We’d again like to extend our absolute gratitude to all the emergency services workers, the SES, fire brigade, our cleaning and security staff for assisting our community and also continuing to assist our community as we know many of you have also sustained personal loss and damage.

We appreciate your patience, understanding and support as do our retail community.  We absolutely are guided by our diligent project team as our retailers and customers safety is our number one priority. We will get through this and we look forward to the day we’re seeing you again; you are all missed.

The centre remains closed as we work closely with our contractors and emergency services and assess the damage sustained in yesterday's hailstorm.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful support team - SES, Police, Fire Brigade, Cleaning and Security,

We will keep updating you as we know more, in particular the reopening of our retailers so keep watching this website and Facebook page for further updates.

20 October 2021

Due to a major hail and wet weather event and in the interest of customer safety, the centre will be closed until further notice. We appreciate our community's support and understanding during this rare event and we will keep you updated with the progress of reopening.
